We gathered in faith and joy to celebrate the 112th World Day of Migrants and Refugees with a special Eucharistic celebration presided over by His Eminence Cardinal Daniel Sturla, Archbishop of Montevideo. The celebration was also a meaningful occasion for our parish community as 12 young people and adults received the Sacrament of Confirmation and our new tabernacle was blessed.
A Celebration of Faith and Welcome
The Mass brought together our parish community in prayer and thanksgiving, celebrating the presence and dignity of migrants and refugees among us. The celebration reminded us that faith brings people together across cultures and backgrounds, creating a community where everyone is welcomed and valued.
A New Step in Faith
The Confirmation of 12 young people and adults was a particularly joyful moment. Through this sacrament, they strengthened their commitment to their faith and to living as witnesses of Christ within their families and community.
A New Home for the Eucharist
Another special moment was the blessing of our new tabernacle, made possible through the dedication and collaboration of our parish community. It now provides a beautiful and prayerful place where the Eucharist, the Blessed Sacrament, is reserved.
Celebrating Together
After the Eucharistic celebration, the community continued the day with a food fair and cultural presentation. Sharing food, traditions, and fellowship added joy to a celebration already filled with faith and gratitude.
It was a beautiful expression of a community walking together in faith, welcoming one another, and celebrating the many gifts that each person brings.
